Fri. Nov 2nd – Scripture Ruth 1:1-8 (www.biblegateway.com for scripture) SHARING THE JOURNEY OF GRIEF AND LOSS  Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back each of you to your mother’s house.  May the Lord deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and me.”  Action step:  On paper, list people you would feel comfortabhle talking with when you encounter loss.  Save the paper for future use.

FPC is currently in search of  2 volunteer positions:  NURSERY TEACHER and SOUND/AUDIO TECH.  Please contact Taylor Amell at the Church Office (835-3922 or office@fpcoconto.org) as soon as possible if you are willing to serve in this way!

 

This year the Sunday School Class has adopted a child from Kenya to support and pray for.  All Sunday School students are asked to bring $0.50 per week to help pay for the $38.00 per month fee to help supply Jumma with clean water, food, medical care, education, and a chance to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  Please remember Jumma in your prayers!  Your continued support is amazing!

Last month we studied how Elizabeth longed for God to answer her prayers – and how he did answer her prayers!  Please join us on November 11th @ 9:00 am to continue in our series ‘Women of the New Testament’ – all are welcome!

Just a reminder that this Wednesday, September 26th, Confirmation students should meet at 5:45 pm @ Evergreen Cemetery to participate in the Oconto Historical Society’s “If Tombstones Could Talk” Cemetery Walk.  Please wear warm layers of clothing and bring a small flashlight.  See you there!
