Monday Nov 26th – These Days Daily Devotional GOD IN OUR HEARTS Scripture Psalm 132:1-12 Rise up, O Lord, and go to your resting place, you and the ark of your might.  Action Step:  Sit comfortably.  Breathe deeply until you feel still.  Invite God to rest in your heart.  Then, just be.

Help Me Thanksgiving Day Prayer

O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;
When I am without pain,
help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency;
bestir my compassion,
and be concerned enough to help;
By word and deed,
those who cry out for what we take for granted.
Amen.

Weds. Nov 21 – Scripture Luke 17:11-19  LUCK OR GRACE  He prostrated himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.  Action step:  When you hear someone say’Good Luck’, offer a prayer of thanksgiving.

First Presbyterian Church is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve Ecumenical Service on November 21st, at 7:00pm.  All are welcome to worship – looking forward to seeing you there!

Bell Choir Members please plan to arrive at 5:40pm for practice, and Adult Choir please arrive at 6:20pm for rehearsal.

Action Step: Deepen your roots by committin to spending more time with God this week.

Sunday Nov. 18th – JUMP FOR JOY Scripture Psalm 100  Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.  Action step:  REad Psalm 100 daily this week and try to memorize it.

Happiness depends on your happenings, Joy is a choice.  You can wait for the storm to pass, or you can jump in and dance in the rain.

Saturday, Nov 17th – NANCY Scripture Matthew 28:16-20 “And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age”.  Action Step:  Be a reflection of Christ as you encourage someone today.
