The Deacon’s pantry is still need, and we are asking for some help. Please if you are able, we need canned items like soup, veggies, canned meats, pasta, pasta sauce, personal hygiene items, cleaning items, paper products, cake mixes, puddings, Jell-O’s, rice, box dinners, even cash or gift cards. We have helped several families over the summer, and the shelves have been depleted so any help would be great. So, during the month of October, we will be doing a food drive to help fill the shelves in preparation for the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays. You can bring in your items and place them in front of the sanctuary and we can watch the collection grow. Thank you for any help and God Bless.

Message from Missions
Our mission committee continues to look for ways to spread God’s love. Our last quarter’s mission giving was for the Marion Mission Wells. We raised $200 to go towards the creation of a much needed well in Africa. Thank you to all who supported this very worthy cause!
This quarter we are raising money for our local “Shop With a Cop”. This is a wonderful tradition and we look forward to helping that continue.

A Musical Feast
First Presbyterian Church cordially invites you to a musical concert to honor the memory of Dolores “Pug” Saucier on Sunday afternoon – August 24th at 2:00pm. Pug was born on March 20, 1924 & passed away on March 15, 2025. She was a member of the “GREATEST GENERATION” and lived a century-long life in the Oconto community, as well as a member of First Presbyterian Church of Oconto, where she sang, taught, served and shared her special joy with everyone she met. Everyone in the greater Oconto community are welcome to join us for an afternoon of music, joy, honor and refreshments.

Marion Medical Mission
First Presbyterian Church Oconto is very active in mission. We contribute to organizations to spread the love of God and Jesus Christ to those who are in need, both locally and around the world. Our second quarter giving is for Marion Medical Mission to help with the creation of wells in underdeveloped countries of Africa. Since 1990, they have built over 53,000 wells, giving over 5 million people a sustainable source of safe drinking water. For more information, check out https://www.mmmwater.org
Proverbs 19:17 “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”

Message from Mission Committee
On Tuesday, April 22 the Mission Committee went to The Abundant Life Mission Shelter to present our check and to tour the facilities. It was a very humbling and informative. They accept people and families from all over N.E. Wisconsin and even from Appleton and South. We presented the check for $405.50 and they were very appreciative. Thank you to all who supported our Mission project by donating financially and with 97 household goods and personal items!
